Clinical Supervision with Alexa

Alexa Rodriguez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in a variety of settings including foster care/adoption, domestic violence/sexual assault, inpatient, and outpatient therapy. She approaches her clients and clinical work with curiosity, integrity, as well as a sense of humor.

What brought Alexa to this work was a curiosity in understanding and learning how to help others navigate life experiences. Social work values are reflected in her upbringing. Alexa comes from a large complex family and it has shaped how she views humanity, systems, culture, agency, and the importance of maintaining hope. She hopes to continue collaborative work with others so that they may enhance their skills to navigate the cycles of creating meaningful lives and protecting their peace. It has been Alexa’s interest to reflect on who she is, the work she does, and what it means for us as a collective.

Alexa is offering clinical supervision to post-Masters clinicians and those with a few years of experience in the field. Alexa received clinical supervision training through the Therapy Development Center and utilizes the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM) in supervision. The IDM model supports supervisees in their professional growth by exploring the concepts of self-other, motivation, and autonomy while cultivating their unique therapeutic style.

Alexa hopes to create a safe collaborative space with supervisees who embrace  empathy, social justice, and cultural awareness. In her free time, Alexa enjoys walking, camping, skiing, reality tv, watching sunsets, and stand up comedy.
